It's Been a Year. It's Been a Great Twenty Five Years

Today is the anniversary of my father-in-law who died one year ago. As I reflect on that I am reminded of the good twenty five years I had with him on the farm.
As a photographer it was great to get out into the country on the weekends. To spend time with the family and to explore the land. Work on my craft.
I believe that I covered every inch of the land in the Fisher Branch area. I took pictures of things that they never knew existed out there. It took a lot of great pictures on the farm. I have shared hundreds of them with you over the years.
But my father-in-law was so much more then a farmer. He was a family man. He loved it when his kids would come for a visit. He always made time for that. He was a generous man. Always sharing food and helping out when ever you needed it. He was a man of God. Always praying for his family.
When I first met him, I was accepted. He asked about everything that was going on in our lives. He would listen intently. Never once was I ever mad to feel not part of the family. Over

years we became good friends. I enjoyed to being with him.
As I reflect back on this anniversary, I thought I would share some of my photos but also how my father-in-law's good character has influenced my life.

Like him. I try to be accepting of others. Generous to others. I try to focus on what I am good at and enjoy the abundantly diverse lives of others. I find when I do that, others naturally like to be around you. He is dearly missed by all who knew him. I only knew him for thirty three years but they were good memory filled years I will remember with fondness. As always thanks for the peruse.
Here are a few videos of the farm I have done over the years.
